Providing medical aid and training to remote communities in Papua New Guinea
In November, Backpacker Medics conducted a 10-day medical expedition to the Engineer Islands in Papua New Guinea's western Louisiade Archipelago. Working alongside the dedicated Milne Bay Sea Women team, ExRMed members delivered vital medical aid to remote communities where access to healthcare is severely limited. The mission included first aid training, pop-up medical clinics, distribution of Days for Girls International period pad kits, and delivery of essential medical supplies to partner villages throughout the Engineer Island group.
